Our position on Reach

The Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 known as REACH (acronym for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemicals) has entered into force on June 1, 2007. This text regulates the manufacture, the importation and the placing on the european market of chemicals.  It requires that EU based manufacturers and importers of chemical substances register their substances to the new European Chemical Agency (ECHA) by deadlines linked to their volume and hazardous classification.  Information on the REACH Regulation can be found on the ECHA website.
Arkema is committed to meeting its obligations under the REACH Regulation and is taking the necessary  actions to continue its commercial  activities.

Registration
Arkema France has pre-registered DMSO, CAS Number: 67-68-5, pre-registration number 05-2114118070-69-0000.
Arkema France will submit its DMSO dossier before December 2010 in the "> 1000 MT" tonnage band .
As only European producer, Arkema volunteers to become the lead registrant for DMSO submission.
