Pebax® is an Arkema trade name for its polyether block amides. Pebax® is a thermoplastic elastomer or a flexible polyamide without plasticiser consisting of a regular linear chain of rigid polyamide segments and flexible polyether segments. The general formula of the product is:

| Pebax® MP1878 can be used with all kind of PA6 films: oriented (BOPA films) and non-oriented (cast blown fims). Pebax® MP1878 complies with USP classVl, EU 2002/72*.
*All monomers/additives used for the manufacture of Pebax® MP1878 grades have been assessed an approved by the Scientific Commitee on Food and are therefore listed in the European Directive 2002/72/EC.
