Orgasol® powder in Composites and Structural
                Adhesives

Orgasol® powder can help avoid delamination in interlayered carbon fiber/epoxy composites and improve strength in structural adhesives.

Crack propagations at the epoxy resin/carbon fiber interface reduce the strength of fiber-reinforced composite laminates. To solve this problem, Orgasol® powder can be used as a toughening agent to limit the crack propagation in the resin inter-laminar region and at the epoxy resin/carbon fiber interface.

Due to its narrow and controlled particle size distribution, Orgasol® powder also maintains the thickness of the inter-laminar region during the process that builds the composite structure.

Orgasol® powder also helps limit crack propagation in structural adhesives improving their mechanical strength.

Recommended grades:  Orgasol® 1002 D NAT1, Orgasol® 2002 D NAT1

If you need further information on Orgasol® powder properties for carbon-fiber composites, please feel free to contact us or download “Carbon Fiber Composite Technical Brochure.”
