The rub test uses a 1 kg weight coupled to a cotton swab that has been soaked in the particular fluid being tested. In this test, the swab is driven back and forth for a defined number of cycles (listed as A/R on the picture). After the number of cycles indicated, the pictures were taken and the surface of the laminate product evaluated. Note that the Kynar^® film is much more resistant to many common chemicals.
