Kynar® PVDF coatings have a very low tendency to support biological growth. Kynar AquatecTM emulsion-based coatings can withstand the harsh conditions of high-humidity and mildew-prone areas. This has been shown through test panel exposure history in Florida, worldwide case studies for materials made with Kynar® resins, and material studies on the Kynar® resins themselves. The figure below shows panels of Kynar Aquatec^TM based coatings, which illustrate no biological growth and excellent retention of color after six years.
