The Norsocryl^® Methacrylic Monomer is Methyl Methacrylate (MMA), the most common methacrylate. Norsocryl^® MMA is used to make paints, plastic impact modifiers and process aids, glues and adhesives. Norsocryl^® MMA is also polymerized by Arkema to produce solid polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) sold under the trademarks Altuglas^® and Plexiglas^®.

MMA provides significant performance advantages such as hardness, toughness, weather ability and flexibility when used as a copolymer to form a broad range of products typically found in paints, coatings and adhesives.
